Sharing faith through spiritual conversations is a large part of what FriendSpeak is all about. This is an outreach ministry to those whose first language is not English. It is the domestic version of LST.
We can use more volunteers. Training will be conducted this Saturday, August 29th, from 8-2 in the High Pointe chapel. Let me know if you are willing to volunteer, or if you need additional information.

Wow, Dawn. That is great that God has laid this upon your heart. I have prayed for you just now about this. Have you thought about contacting our youth minister and asking him for some material? Bryan Jones might also be able to help.

My prayer will be that your idea for a camp will be approved and you can do this service for God in His kingdom that you desire to do! It sounds like a wonderful plan.

Mike,
That is tremendous news. Having been with LST for over 20 years, I can witness many stories like your sons. I.E. many come to Christ, but most are AFTER the workers have left. This is a great story that I will share with LST.

Great news Mike! Your son's desire and work is encouraging and hearing another story of God's working through and beyond flesh is faith bolstering!

Mike, this is great! We rejoice with the angels in heaven over Talis' baptism. The pressure is on God and the other person--we are just messengers. Clearly, God worked on Talis' heart and Talis responded. Thanks for sharing!

I wanted to share with everyone how my son Ryan became frustrated by 6 weeks of Bible study with a new friend he made in Brazil. Talis was a reader assigned to Ryan in LST. Ryan asked Talis if he could pray for him after their reading session. Ryan prayed for Talis after their first meeting and Talis was in tears after the prayer. He told Ryan that no one had every prayer for him. Ryan then began sharing the gospel with Talis. Ryan gave him a witness bracelet with the gospel symbols on it. He explained Jesus from the scriptures and got no response from Talis for 6 weeks. A group took Ryan to the airport to say goodbye. Mac and Mary Owen gave Ryan a leather necklace with the symbols on it. At the airport, he took it off and tied it around Talis' neck and told him to keep studying the gospel of Jesus Christ. Yesterday, Talis and Talis' friend whom he had recently brought to worship were baptized into Christ. I just messaged Ryan at work to tell him the good news. I got a text back saying "Yeah!" I had to share this story in this group because it seemed fitting.
That is what it is all about...HIM.

Hi Mike. I plan to visit w/Roger at length this next Tuesday at our monthly preachers' mtg. I may give him a heads up prior, but I know he is working hard right now on some undergraduate work. He is actually taking a month-long sabbatical from his work as a minister, encouraged by the church to take care of Rita (recovering following surgery), work on his bachelors, etc. The man works alot and hard, and I'm grateful the church has given him some time off, with their blessing. Have a great day!

Hey Guys, I forgot about the James/KC connection. I should have known that James and Greg knew each other. I honored to be among such distinguished friends. Greg, tell Roger DeLoach about this site and I'll do the same.
