Celebrate Recovery - Week 6
A combination of our "High Pointe At The Park" night and icky weather kept our numbers down this past Wednesday night...but the evening was fantastic. Our theme for the night was "ACTION." We talked about accepting the gift that Jesus gives us through his sacrifice and committing to making changes. Just as we were finishing our worship time, it was time to take ACTION...as the skies opened up, the wind blew, and we all dashed for the auditorium!
Once the all-clear was sounded we divided into our groups for a time of encouragement and sharing. The men's group had two folks that showed up for the first time, and they made an immediate impact with their testimonies. The ladies also had a first-time guest. She had visited our congregation the previous Sunday, saw that we had a Celebrate Recovery ministry, and there she was!
Hopefully the weather will be a little more cooperative this next week...as it's a tremendous blessing to be together with as many brothers and sisters as possible. These times are truly a highlight of my week!

Chris, thank you sharing. It is great to hear about the the three new guests! Tim had to stay home because his dog was scared of the storm, but wanted to be there. Keep it up! This ministry will make a great impact upon our members and the community.

Glad you had a good meeting. The tornado sirens were blairing just before I left to come so changed my mind. Had no power the next day until after midnight! Air conditioning is something to be grateful for!
